Here are some papers in which LipoSEARCH® has been used in evaluation the effect of Pemafibrate (Selective PPARα Modulator, SPPARMα) among many examples of LipoSEARCH® applications. LipoSEARCH® enables stable and sensitive measurement of cholesterol, triglycerides, and particle size of the four major classes (CM, VLDL, LDL, and HDL) from a small blood sample, as well as more detailed subclass and particle number evaluations.

The results of the LipoSEARCH® analysis have been discussed the following effects.
・Decrease in TG-rich lipoproteins
・Decrease in small LDL-C and very small LDL-C
・Decrease in very large HDL-C and large HDL-C
・Increase in small HDL-C and very small HDL-C

Announce about contract test service using PXB-cells LA

We have started the contract test service using PXB-cells LA (manufactured by PhoenxBio Co.,Ltd.), as the material for lipid metabolism study. IBL will provide the planning, conduct, measurement of tests for your purpose.

For example, if you have a test article which you expect it’s function against lipid metabolism, IBL can make a proposal in vitro functional analysis using PXB-cells LA and conduct test for you in Japan.

LipoSEARCH News : Literature Introduction.
The SREBP-1c large-VLDL pathway in environment-induced severe hypertriglyceridemia of apo AV deficiency.

Dr. Hiroaki Okazaki, Assistant Professor, Department of Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases, The University of Tokyo Hospital (Tokyo, Japan) et al. has shown that the development of sever hypertriglyceridemia in apo AV deficiency is due to SREBP-1c-mediated production and accumulation of Large VLDL.
This is the first report to explain the development mechanism of the severe hypertriglyceridemia in apo AV deficiency, and suggests the possibility of a novel therapeutic approach targeting SREBP-1c.
In this paper, our LipoSEARCH® service are used to analyze lipid profile.

Plasma lipoprotein profile from NASH model rats

Keishi Hata, a chairman researcher at Akita Research Institute of Food & Brewing (Akita, Japan), et al. have analyzed the plasma lipoprotein profiles in methionine and choline-deficient (MCD) diet fed rats as NASH model. As a result, they firstly demonstrated that continuous MCD diet feeding increased not only plasma lipoprotein levels but also “VLDL particle size” in rats with NASH-like features, and these findings agreed with those in NAFLD/NASH patients and NAFLD-like hepatocytes. In this paper, our LipoSEARCH®) service are used to analyze lipid profile.
